Clearly, I am new here. The extent of my web work is very basic as I am a computer tech but at times, my customers ask me to make changes to there web sites.

My question is regarding Adobe Flash. A customer has asked me to make very small changes to there web site so I downloaded the content and opened in GoLive. What I found was mostly flash files. I was able to download a decompiler to make it an .fla file but its obvious that I need flash to edit the small amount of text. So the question; do i need to spend the money that adobe wants for the full product or is there another way of editing some simple text in an .fla file? I do not forsee this being a long term thing so I am not sure spending that kind of money would be worth it. Would it make more sense to have another developer make these small changed?

Unfortunately, I don't think you can edit the FLA file with any of the free or low-cost programs out there.

Most likely, yes. A person with Flash and experience can make text changes very easily.

It's not very difficult to work in Flash, you don't need to have much knowledge for it.

If you mean like editing a text then yes.
However Flash is not only about that and is not that simple as you say.
