At this website, http://www.topnation.com/ there is a flash intro. (It is my uncle's site, so he doesn't care I am using his stuff) A few seconds in, there is some text that is 3d and flips around ("Top" right before the music). How do you create this 3d text like this?

i can't visit u'r link (strange!) but i think that the only way to make a 3d object it is import it to Flash (like in tutorial, there is imported "avi" with rolling 3d car)...

I had a similar idea to andrews_john. Import 3 Dimensional Objects and then manipulate them to what's needed. (in the case above, 3d text).

Another way to do it is to use the Frames and animation elements in Fireworks but this is best only if the end result is going to still be a small graphic. It works best on Text. You can flip the text and rotate it slightly in each new frame, then compile & export it as an animation. I find it a neat alternative to using flash for things like logos, but if you wanted a big intro you are best using Flash because animated graphics can be quite bulky in file size
