i understand that flash can read from a .txt file, but since my text files are all in microsoft words(.doc), it is possible to read directly from microsoft words(.doc) instead?

or are there any ways to do so? your help is kindly appreciated..

ps. i am jus a beginner to Flash...

nope...sorry no possible way of doing it...coz all the text in word is encrypted...u can do one thing though...save the file as text in word....File->Save As...change the file type to .txt...
