A new problem now.

I have two graphics called menu_bar_lt.gif & menu_bar_bg.gif. The bg one is 1x30 pixels and is used for the background of the button. The lt one is 10x30 pixels and is for the left hand side of the pixels.

The problem I am having is that I copied the bg content into the lt graphic ten times to produce the same colour effect as each other, but for some reason, the lt one decides to change and look out of psynch with the bg one! This can be seen at http://www.thumoo.com/auction

Not knowing graphics as well as I would like, I cannot see why this would be happening and any help would be gratefully received.

I think the cause of this issue is the fact that you are resizing the image in your html like this:

<img src="images/template/menu_bar_lt.gif" width="8" height="25">

Doh! Thank you again gringo! I will look into that. Now that it's been mentioned it makes perfect sense! I should learn to be more methodical trying to solve these issues. sigh

If you have time, I would recommend doing a few CSS tutorials.

It might seem a bit daunting, but moving all your styles to an external file and replacing your tables with a CSS layout will help you maintain your site better

Thank you for your help gringo. I have started making some changes to the code and it is definitely working.

Some of the settings are using css, but the rest are in modules. However, I will have a look into css as you have mentioned it and I'm sure in the end it will save a lot of time and effort.
