I would like to knw what program do you use to create flash websites and applications. I have already tried Macromedia but i was wondering if there was anything else. (i have also tried swish).

Use Macromedia Flash...

I tried that ages ago (when Mx came out) and all i found that it did was movies. I didnt have a clue as to how i could make a site from it.

Forget making only sites...
You can make standalone applications too...
You just have to know your way out...
Why dont you check some documentation online...

Try and get hold of a copy of Flash MX 2k4. I've got into that and it's easier that Flash MX in so many ways. Also, I'd look into small tutorials before going straight into the deep end of the swimming pool that is flash.

Start out by making some buttons, then go into a menu system, then a few pages and so forth.

"Learn to walk before you try to run" as they say.

you can make your site in flash (menus, info and so on) and then export it to HTML, and publish.... so, it's the way of making flash-sites...

PLEASE DELETE THIS THREAD. I HAVE CHANGED THE IDEA TOTALLY. I have learnt abit of flash stuff but i use CoffeCup stuff (wizards, they make life so much easier). My site will onl have (if any) a little bit of flash on it.

If anyone else happens to read this for suggestions I thought I would add my 2 cents..

If you are really wanting to get into it, go for Flash..
However I have noticed that swish is a lot easier and faster to learn. Some people pick right up on it.
