How do you do those nifty, clean borders around your tables... Mine keeps on looking like crap... should I be using this stretch the pixel approach or the table's border properties??

Here's my ugly border problem . (notice the gray to the left of my line...)

Any help is appreciated.

this line is the problem
img src="images/topborder.jpg" height="1300" width="1" border="0" align=left

you have not closed the td. if you want this line then put it in a separate td and close it..

also the height d*** 1300 px

check this..

The best way to do the borders as I've found is to do nested tables.. Make the "Master Table's" bgcolor to the color you want your borders. Then place your real table on top of it with a cellspacing of maybe 1.

Hello!
Tablesare basic elements for most webpages. In this case I often wonder why don't people use all the possibilities they offer. Whith HTML 4.0 comes a whole new bunch of table flags and attributes. Just take a look:

Print out this page and start experimenting!
