I have some true type fonts on my Pc that I cant see in fireworks does anyone know why? Does fireworks not use my TTF fonts at all?

I don't know why this is. My fonts work fine in fireworks. I'm afraid that I don't know what to suggest. I assume your fonts folder is stored inside the WINDOWS directory on C:\ ???

I've had similar problems. If all else fails, restart Windows. That usually fixes the problem for me.

make sure the font are in

sysem3/ fonts

or

windows/fonts

You must install the fonts by going to controlpanel->fonts->File->Install New Font

ooh yeh i thing i did that aswell all u have to do it put one file into the font folder that works aswell
