I have made a project in Photoshop 7. I am now trying to open it in Imageready so I can animate it. Problem is, it won't let me. It has greyed the link so I can't even click it. Any clue as to what could be the cause of this?

When you say the link is greyed out, are you referring to the button in PS that goes to ImageReady ??

Does your file have multiple layers ?

Kristy,

Is the Photoshop 7 version the one that is before Photoshop CS1? If it is then, that may be the reason you cannot open it in IMAGEREADY.
I believe ImageReady was created as a sister program to PHOTOSHOP beginning with the CS1 Series. It was not made to work with older versions of Photoshop.

.....Of course..... I could be completely wrong about this.....it's happened once before....lol...but seriously, I do think I'm correct.

ImageReady worked with PS7, it was not limited to CS and up.

oh ok - but I did look it up and what I found confirmed what I said about it (ImageReady) was not created until the CS series. I know when I was in school the instructor told us it would not work on ps versions below the CS series, so I guess he was wrong.

Incorrect. ImageReady was released LONG before PSCS:

Quote:
Release Version # Release Date Bundled with (version)
1st v1.0 July 1998 [2] (N/A) (Released as a stand alone product.)
2nd v2 July 1999 Photoshop 5.5
3rd v3 October 2000 Photoshop 6.0
4th v7 February 2002 Photoshop 7.0
5th v8 ("CS") October 2003 Photoshop 8.0 CS
6th v9 ("CS2") May 2005 Photoshop 9.0 CS2
7th v10 ("CS3") March 2007 Discontinued*
It was first BUNDLED with PS 5.5. I've been using PS since Version 3, so I know it's been around for quite some time.
