What do you guys think of this design for my new project?


I'm trying to decide if I want to use the acronym or just go for the whole name. The domain is rippededge.net, so.

Reduce the amount of details of the monkey silhouette and get rid of the gradient.
"Ripped Edge Media Network" font is too bold - I understand that you have used the same as for "REMN", but you don't have to use the bold version - same font family is enough.

I don't know, but I kind of liked the monkey silhouette. And the gradient on "REMN"

However, I do think you could reduce the thickness of the text below since the overall look gives a chunky impression. I hope I was able to help

I agree with eclion, make the bottom text skinnier and it will be even better. I like it a lot though the monkey is neat.

I love the way it looks with the acronym and the way you spell it out across the bottom. I agree that the 2nd font should not be bold type face. I'd also have to agree about the gradient. I guess that one just depends on your layout but as is it just throws the complete look off. Maybe if the bottom text matched it would bring more balance idk. It's a great concept you've got going. Nice work.

I am not sure what the ape is holding in his hand. Is it relevant to the design? If the ape is to have something in his hand, make sure it is something the viewer can quickly identify.

i think the ape is holding a place.... it's like in the movie king kong...

hahaha now that you guys pointed it out... what IS it holding in its hand? O_o It might be a twig, or some skinny fish (LOL why would an ape hold a fish?) Maybe it's better to edit it out. XD

if the domain is rippededge.net, why not ditch the acronym and use 'Ripped Edge' instead? Just my 2 cents, but it seems a good starting point for your brand.
