Hi -

I resized a PDF image to my liking. However, when I use the font, the font is not the normal 6pt, 8pt 10pt font. It's about 12pt 16pt or 18pt size even when I have it marked on the 6pt size.

Can you please advise how I can get the font back to normal on the graphic that is resized? I have created a new layer on the resized graphic to enter the font. However, the font is still not the size it should be.

I am using Abobe CS2. Thanks!

a PDF is not an image file. It can contain images however. And when you resize an flat image everything will be resized at the same time.

Okay so these are the steps I followed:

The image is a jpeg.

I resized the image to a small image.

I then added my font. My font that is at 6pt appears as if it is at 12pt.

When I open up a blank document and test my 6pt font, it appears right at 6pt. However, in my resized image that had no font on it prior, it will not type at 6pt and it only looks like it's at 12pt when the font is set at 6pt.

Can you please advise how I can fix this?

Thanks!

I followed your every step, and that didn`t happen to me lol. A 6 px font, is a 6 px font, no matter what...
Anyways, to help you:
Open a new document, write what you want in your 6 px font, right click on the text layer -> rasterize type; then drag the rasterized text layer on your original document , where you can`t place your 6 px font. That should do it!

Are you sure that it appears at 12pt, and it doesn't just look bigger because you are zoomed in/the surrounding images are smaller? Try adding the text (and rasterize it) before you shrink the image. I have a feeling that it is coming out as a 6pt font, you just don't realise it.

I had transfered the image to Image Ready, and used the silkscreen text there. It appeared correct in image ready. Once I was done, I transfered it to photoshop to finish the image.

I will have to try the rasterizing effect next time. Thanks!

I like to create rasters in autocad from jpeg pictures of objects.. Take a digital picture and trace the lines, it makes a really cool presentation.
