hey,
i like yours header i think the sytle of the text and the colour fit in well with the site and the background. The image quality of the male, should be better though, as it looks a tiny bit pixelated, maybe if the image was stretched thi smay of happened.

But its appealing i would say it fits in well

I would brighten the picture of Jack, make the tagline "The Ultimate..." smaller so that it is no wider than the site name, and make the background gradient a little smaller... then, you can use a decorative brush and set the opacity to like 50%..

Over all, its a nice header... simple goes along way if done right, which for the most part, yours is.

just my thoughts

It's actually pretty good already. Though there's something about the raw image of the guy that seems a little bit off. Did you scale it properly or are my eyes just deceiving me? O_o

Personally, I would align the JACK FAN.com and its sub-heading text (in the header) to the left and have some swirls and glows stemming from behind Jack (assuming that is jack.. (must be)).. and flying across towards the left-align text and into the text.

I'm a graphics l337 so please excuse my habits!
