I have to agree that Illustrator being the Industry standard in Vector design would be the best option & most flexible. CorelDraw x3 would be my second choice out of your list because it can handle Both Vector & Raster/Paint functions (Primary interests in the free hand Pencil tool). Then my last choice would be Photoshop (It has a vector Pen tool, but hardly flexible enough to do anything Vector related professionally).
I made my choices based on the the fact that Logo's should be done in Vector first & foremost. That way they are completely flexible to be rendered in either Vector or raster depending on the usage need. Doing a Logo in Raster/Paint only leads to complications & extra headaches down the road when one realizes they need a vector format to met a majority of print demands.
My opinion may be a little Bias because I'm primarily a Vector designer. For the record, while I do Own Corel software (CorelDraw x3, Paint shop pro x2), Adobe software (Illustrator Cs3, Fireworks Cs3, DreamWeaver Cs3, Photoshop Cs3, Flash Cs3), Serif Software (DrawPlus x2), & a few other software brands, My Primary tool used daily is Serif DrawPlus x2 Vector Graphics software.
Each designer is a little different in the tools they choose to use, it all comes down to 2 things: 1.) Can the tool handle everything you need it to. 2.) your comfort level using the tool.
Just my 2 cents
