I made this for a friend on a website as her signature. Prob is the jerky transition. Can anyone tell me why this is?

Transition looks fine to me - what kind of bandwidth are you looking at it with ?

Increasing the FPS (frame per second) can help to make it smooth.
which tool is used to make it?

I'm not sure what you used to great this animation. I always found that using Adobe Image Ready makes my .gif / animations much cleaner and more professional. Good luck!
