I have 3 variations of my idea, the only difference is the saturation of the buildings on the right. I had a big mess around with some architecture photography (some was my own, some was stock) which took quite a while!

Feedback would be great!

I really had to study these graphics, KkillgasmM, the variations are so close, but I liked the 3rd graphic the best, it appears to be darker and crisper, the second one isn't bad either.....

Thanks. Yeah as it says at the top, the only difference is the saturation of the left-hand imagery.

Hello,

For the most part I think it looks okay. Is the picture in your business card taken by you? You do NOT want to use copyrighted images in your business card. Business cards are normally the first thing potential clients see. You don't want there first impression of you to be theft.

The image on the left is a photomontage I made from 3 different photos. One of which was a free stock photo (with no restrictions, aside from the obvious like selling it etc.) and the other 2 were taken by me.

I am aware that using copyrighted images it unethical and ... illegal lol.

Do you think that the size of the type will be readable when it has been printed? I mean the full res versions are at 300dpi but I don't have much experience in print design so I don't really know what the safe font sizes are.

Seeing as my husband prints business cards, the image is going to look a bit different, especially the print. The standard business card size is 2 inches=5.1cm x 3.50 inches = 8.9cm, reduce the image to that size and you will be able to see for yourself what the image and printing will look like. If you print the cards yourself you can have anything you want as far as print goes. But if you are going to have them printed such as raised print, 3-D or anything else the printer will be able to tell you what they can or cannot do and give you an idea as to how it will look. My advice first off would be to reduce the image to the standard business card size, then you will know right away.

One last thing, I have seen many a business card, they can range from flamboyant, plain, elegant, simple, this is your choice and style.

Thanks for the advice, I've just tried a quick test print and think the font will need increasing slightly. The company I am using prints them at 90mm x 52mm full bleed size (there is more to the card design but I cropped it for the images I uploaded here).

You're sure welcome KkillgasmM, the printers on the most part are pretty helpful and can offer suggestions as well.
