Ok, I'm not really sure what to ask how to do here, but basically our site is creating T-shirts to sell/give out as prizes in order to promote the site. We used a t-shirt creating site to design a few. However, we decided we wanted to get them through cafepress instead, and to put something on a shirt we have to upload a high quality image of the graphics we want. Is there anyway I can copy (or remake) this design to photoshop or a similar program on a clear background to upload?

If the company doing the t shirts is a professional graphics company they will likely need the following:
  • If you ae using photoshop they will need a psd file including layers
  • the file will have to be in C M Y K color (yes even if it is just black)
  • the resolution will need to be 300dpi (which is standard)
When redoing the design in photoshop be sure when you make your new document that you choose "transparent" for the background and that your dimensions you choose are in inches and not pixels (you can choose pixels but I always use inches when doing printed material).

first copy that image into photoshop & make the down layer transparent. & then resize the resolution into 300 dpi & save it into JPEG format & then upload.

JPEGs do NOT have transparency.

My client prints T shirts at Cafepress... I'm her designer. I usually do it in Photoshop, 300dpi, CMYK and saving it in PNG format to maintain the transparency of the background.

Ok, guys, thanks for the help. I obviously have zero knowledge in photoshop (since I was using clip art for our images in the first place), so what exactly does CMYK and dpi mean?

CMYK is a color space and stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. All printers use these 4 inks.

DPI = dots per inch

CMYK = Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black. This is used for printing... shirts, magazine, brochures, business cards and etc.
DPI= dots per inch. The bigger the dpi, the higher the quality of your graphics.

Ehh, I've kind of given up on trying to transfer this, as I don't even know how to redesign that in photoshop, and it won't let me copy it. I'm just gonna find someone else to do it for me. Thanks for the help though.
