A friend of mine has a daughter who is a high school graduate but cannot afford to send her to College right now so until she can afford it, I told her I would look into online courses options, I am thinking that she can do either free online courses or accredited online courses which will come in handy when she does go to college so I would appreciate links/leads for both options please.

I'm not sure what courses are out there, but I would think some could be found with a little searching. Is the looking specifically to get into graphic design in the print world or does she want to get involved with web design?

In either case there's going to be a ton of information online, not necessarily coursework sort of things. One way I learned and continue to learn web design is simply looking at websites and thinking about why I like or don't like them.

Most of the online options are pretty expensive. For someone right out of high school, personally I'd recommend getting an associate's in graphic design first at a community college. Then go on for the BFA.

It doesnt say what country your from, if in the US i recommend community college where she can build up her portfolio and then maybe work part-time as well so save up for college.

But online courses are relatively expensive so it would be better to go to an actually college than an online one.
