hi, im cutting parts of images (shoes) from the background and pasting them onto another background. when i do that i get a jagged edge on the pasted image. then i go in with the blur tool in photoshop and rub along the edges to blur them and make them non-jagged. i dont see any "blur edges" filter in my filters. i was wondering what is the bes way to blur the edges of a cut image? any help greatly appreciated. thank you. derek

I tend to use the eraser with a "Natural Brush" or "Dry Media Brush" selected and just "dab" the edges.

Or, you can make your selection, then go to Selection, Modify, Feather, give it a few pixels, then copy the selection to the new location. It works about the same as the brush idea.

I would recommend feathering personally.

how about a feather? after you have selected the cropped image, press ctrl+alt+D simultaneously. Adjust the feather weight. I usually use 1.5 or 1.0 on the feather weight.
