Hey guys,

Was trying to Google on how to make paint or blood splatter effect in Photoshop. All results are splatter brushes. But what if I dont want to use brushes for these effect? have any idea how to do it?

If you don't want to use preset-splatters then I would suggest you use the standard brush tool and start one-clicking in areas whilst varying the size and opacity. This will be a long and tedious task but once done, I'm sure it will look great.

you might want to consider a few seperate layers so you can work on varied gradients/effects.

If you're having a real difficult time then why not get a splattered picture and set it as background with opacity at 10% and then using the initial method (one-click painting); trace it.

Practice makes perfect, no?

Because I want to make customized splatter effect. So you mean there's no easier way to do that effect? I checked the tutorials, it's really tedious but I think I don't have a choice.
