What would be a good free service for making a proffesional looking logo? I tried a few, but to own the copyright privilages you need to purchase them.

There's enough tutorials out there to get you started.

You wont find any program logo related free.

Its more for banners. But its good for beginers.

It will be better to do it manually.

Illustrator, best program.
Some people like corel draw or freehand.
I love illustrator.

illustrator is amazing for this kind of thing, and yeah if you can find the right tutorial then you are well on your way to making a great logo

Thanks everyone. I little while ago I found a really good program that I think solved my problem. It was SUMO paint http://www.sumopaint.com/web/ . Thanks for all the suggestions.

I haven't had any luck finding a "free" program that lets me create my logo and finish it. They usually try to charge you before you are done. But those programs don't allow for much originality anyway, because you have to choose from their designs and colors. I'm thinking of either using an Illustrator-type program on my own, or hiring a freelance artist to make mine.

Thanks. I wanted to buy some more software from Adobe, but it's pretty expensive (last I saw it was $600), so I thought I would stay away from it for a while. I heard it's really good though so I want to look into it
