Combining both is def a great option, however vectors are great for logos that way you can blow them up to any size without it pixelating.

i use a combination of the both of them because both programs ultimately have been created for two completely different purposes. i'm still waiting for adobe to combine the both, but i think they enjoy the idea of making money of basically two similar products.

I use photoshop, but I find it tedious at times. I do find it useful and you can get some useful information from the net about how to use it. I'll have to give illustrator a try.

Howdy, Illustrator is the best to produce sharp logos. Photoshop is ok if you want more pictury graphics.

photoshop is more popular than illustrator but each software has its own advantages and disadvantages so its for you to analyze which software to use according to your needs.

So which program do you use for your logos?
Which do most people prefer their logos to be done in?

Adobe Photoshop has a lot more material online to learn from. Start with Adobe. Good LUCK!

If you're good with illustrator then you won't need photoshop at all in my opinion. It just takes longer to get realistic and polished results.
