Hi,

I am trying to design a pure CSS Menu and I'm having some trouble.
I initially designed what I want the menu to look like in Fireworks, now I am trying to split that image up into it's elements.
http://www.minaki.co.uk/test/
The top image is part of the origional image I designed. The two main bits being the gradient and the drop shadow.
For the actual menu, I created the gradient seperatly and I have used it as the background for the menu. I then saved the box with the drop shadow as a GIF image with Alpha transparency, and used CSS to make it be the background of each list item.
Unfortunatly, my transparency doesn't seem to be all that transparent. Is there any way I can get round this?
Many thanks,
Minaki

u can do this by clicking the export wizard or export preview b4 saving your image --- do not click da export file --- in da export wizard area u can chose a total tranparency or alpha tranparency- click the total then press da export button below it to save the image with transparent backgrounds.

Do not export the files as GIFs as the GIF format has only two levels of transparency (on and off). Export your images as 8-bit or 24-bit PNG instead, which supports alpha transparency
