I need your reviews of both pen tablets.

I'm still undecided which one to buy, Wacom or Genius Gpen.

1. Wacom is worth more than 70$ (MTE450), Genius Gpen can only be bought around 30$.

2. Between two Wacoms: Wacom MTE 450 (70$) or Wacom CTE 450(99$)?

Thanks!

I'm a new owner of a pen tablet, and by no mean an expert, but for what I understand:
1) Wacom tablet don't need battery in the pen, genius does
2) The number of sensitivity can vary from 128 to 65536, depending of the tablet. Obviously, the more the better.
3) Wacom is very well supported and drivers are well maintained, even on older systems (or alternative systems, like linux)

I buyed a wacom bamboo 2 month ago, and have been playing with it since.
So far, nothing to regret (except living in a country where the bamboo is priced around 180$... Man, are the US cheap for electronic stuff)..

Thanks tripy for the reply.

I would probably be getting Wacom CTE 450 in eBay.

My office mate is using a Wacom CTE 450, And he said that it really works good on him. He actually suggested that I use that one as well if ever I will going to buy one. So I think it is really a good grab.

(ya the threads old, but since someone spammed & dug it up I figured I would add some stimulating content to the topic)

Looks like I'm the only Genius G-pen user here..... I've been using a Genius G-pen 340 (3x4) for about 6 years now. I use it every day for my full time job & can say that while (yes) it does require a aaa battery in the pen, I've only had to switch it out maybe 5 times in 6 years of using it 5 to 8 hours per day 5 days per week. So it's not like it drains batteries very fast at all.

I chose the small 3x4 model because I have a smaller desk area & the larger tablets always ended up ontop of my keyboard. The small genius allows me to have everything neatly organized next to each other without anything overlapping or in the way.

For the price of $20 to $30 for genius G-pen I have to say that it's definitely worth every penny & then some. 6 years & this little tablets still working like I got it yesterday.

I think that it's important for people that never used a tablet before to get a less expensive model to practice on before investing large sums of cash on bigger & more expensive brands. Tablets aren't for everyone & I see lots of people with tablets now days just collecting dust because they thought it would be neat, but then never really adapted & or got into it, So now they are just paper weights.

It's my suggestion to start with a small genius G-pen & get the feel for using this type of technology. Once you are comfortable with it, then possibly invest into something else.

For every thing, i will not choose the best or the worst, i will choose medium one.
so Wacom MTE 450 (70$) is my dish.
