my question is about the effect at this website the top big flash banner

at the top left there is a logo and the remaining space is where there is a motion tween of pictures with an alpha effect. i know how to do the alpha effect, however the logo at the top left corner is not included as part of the alpha effect for every image.

how is this possible, is it because the logo is in a separate layer and all the images are in a different movie clip, also if this is the case as part of the entire width of all the images the logo might be a part of all the images.

can anyone advice as to how this effect of excluding a certain part and creating the alpha effect for the remaining be done.

I believe the logo is on a separate layer, that runs during the entire loop of the pictures. I believe it's very simple to accomplish.
