Does anyone have any ideas how to spruse this up?
Make it more in line with sites nowadays?

any ideas?

My gfx skillz are not that great so this is the best i could come up with.

So any thoughts, ideas examples would be great.

It looks pretty good, I might suggest making the .com a little smaller or just place it on the end. It makes the logo seem a little unbalanced right now. You could add a shadow effect under the IM or a reflection of the top part of the logo to spice it up. The logo looks like it is in many peices right now, and the main goal should to make all parts equal, simple, unique and attractive.

Ive changed a few bits recently on the main site bg that i think makes it a bit better.

It looks okay but the line at bottom it looks fade. Try changing the color of that text or make it more sharp.

I think its cool and you should continue on with it.

Personally, I think that you are just about there. I would use separate colors for "supporting" and ".com" though. "Supporting" is the most important word, so maybe you can make ".com" white...or maybe just darken "supporting" up a bit so it stands out more.

I like simple logos there, so I wouldn't tinker with it too much more if it were mine.

Perhaps the gray could be darker. Maybe the dot in .com could be an actual dot matching the orange IM background.

....but really it looks fine as is.
