Heres how you can convert it into a jpeg.
Open your file.
Click: File->Save As Web
Once the window shows up on the right side there is a SELECT BOX under "Settings".
It should display the type of file you have. Click this select box and select JPEG.
Then click the "Save" button.
This should do the trick
