I'm working currently on Cinema 4D , and I'm thinking about which one is better to do renderings .
In my opinion Cinema is easy to use , but I have never tried to use 3DS Max as I couldn't download it ( didn't find it to download ) .
Does anyone working on both ? What are yours opinion - which one is better to use as a visualization software ?

3ds max is definatly more popular and it has a good improved renderer (mental ray)
I like it. But I've never used cinema 4d so can't compare

I think the best 3D modeling and animation software is Maya (they used maya when making the movies: Avatar and 2012)
I worked with Maya..it is a little bit tricky..but it is awesome
From your examples, 3DS MAX is the best...I think I`ll start using it too, because Maya has too big system requirements

If you aren't doing anything complex, then by all means, stick with Cinema 4D. 3ds Max is virtually unlimited...meaning that you can do nearly anything your mind can come up with, but it comes at a cost (a steep learning curve). I used to use 3ds Max extensively, but I found that a simpler 3d modeling program was better for my needs. I don't need high-end animation and modeling capabilities so I'm using formZ - it's much better for my particular workflow.

wow, dude, like real 3D dude? whoa!

Cinema 4D has a kinda unrealistic look....kinda plastic...
If you want more realism, use 3ds max or maya, as I previously said

I like 3d max, but cinema does have more user-friendly capabitilies when it comes to add'ons & mods.

Really it just comes down to personal preference - just about any 3d program can create any style of illustration (espeically with third-party rendering software), but it takes a large commitment of time to learn how to achieve it. I use FormZ for everything now, even though it's primarily targeted toward architects. It took me a while to figure out how to to do ultra-glossy and vivid illustrations with it, but I've pretty much developed my technique over the course of several years practice. It does suck pretty hard as a complex modeling program though - and I'm definitely still struggling with it in this regard.

I never used 4d that's why 3D max is good for me.

I'm for 3 d Max cause it is a full-function and professional programming system. It has enough info, it's easy-to-use. It is good for architectural vizualization. Besides, has anybody tried 2 last versions of 3D Max? I'm interested in mastering it =)
