Is there a free tool that can edit InDesign files? I was hoping GIMP could do it, but I havent been able to find a plugin that will let me.

Any suggestions before I get creative?

only the demo of indesign can open an idd file if you don't have a full copy

Try the trial version, or maybe you can get a student version without shelling out too much cash.

I used to use InDesign a lot for layout. I am not a designer and have not used it for over a year. I am going to help get some friends started using InDesign this weekend and some materials would be helpful. Thanks!
