Whats up guys,

About a few months ago me and a small team of graphic artist have decided to ban together to just provide the public with free film animations and graphics and its been a fun experience so far but the problem here is we have no idea what people want the most.

I think more people want free logos and .gif banners. Icons are a BIG ONE, free nice looking Web 2.0 style are in huge demand. Do Icons on niche websites like pictures of specific vehicles or like planets for space sites.

I'm looking to try and spruce up a customer's site and he's such a byte nazi! He sent me this irs extension site as an example of what he wants..

Sure that's a nice small 4kb logo, but it SUCKS and it's SO incredibly old school..

Do you guys do anything minimalist/boring that might work for a professional high-traffic site looking for super light/small images?

Thanks for the feed back guys we really need it.And yea Robk we were thinking the same thing with doing more icons but we were not to sure since there are just so many free ones already out there.But logo's we never considered that so we will try doing that as well thanks. iam not much of a logo maker,but one of the other artist at our site is so we will definitely be adding some logos.

You do have some nice stuff on your site, how long will it be free? Maybe you could just put an informal multiple choice poll on your site asking what everyone wants the most.

Thanks Design chick i will try the poll and see if that works.All the stuff at our site will always be free one of the reasons we created the site was because so few sites give anything away for free or they just pull the old bait and switch on you and try to sell you somthing.

I don't know what other people want but I like funny animated holiday avatars to use.

Fan sites for tv shows (LOST, SURVIVOR) or cult movie followers (a certain vampire & werewolf come to mind) probably would like to have any kind of graphic featuring those characters and/or catch phrases.

I nice website (both design and concept).
You could make some free wordpress themes as well...they are usually high rated and you can bring some good traffic to your site as well

For me, I'm looking for a pre-designed logo. Icons would be cool.
It should be in either PNG format for transparency and good quality.
Animations could be great.

Never work for free. That type of mentality has killed the whole graphic design field. Your knowledge and talent is worth more than you know.

well I don't think he did because I was there and looked for it but couldnt find it so I must have been mistaken.....

I love your site. But as a few people suggested, you might not want to work for free...but, free always draws in traffic...especially if your animations are good! [like yours.] Why don't you have a "free" and "paid" area on your site? Offer the basic things like tutorials and a few graphics for free, and then offer some more complex things for a small/cheap fee. that way, the regualr members that visit your site will know its worth the extra cost...that's my opinion of course. I don't mind if you keep everything free! Free works for me!

thanks for the feed back guys i really needed that.Maybe one day down the line i will have a product to sell.But for now iam just enjoying providing free stuff that is of quality for every one who needs it no strings attached (which is really rare to find online these days).
