hi, my mp4 video is 65 mb!! i need to show this video on a web page at 800W by 600H and it is very skippy. is there anything i can do to compress it with free software without losing a lot of quality? here is the code i use to embed it

are any of these formats streaming? i found a converter but it outputs these formats.

avi, mp4, wmv, swf, flv, mkv, MPEG-1 and MPEG-2, mpg (PAL or NTSC), mp3, wma, ogg, aac, wave, m4a

awesome blue dreamer!! i want to keep them safe so that users cant download them. they are tutorial videos people will pay for. any more help greatly appreciated , thanks for the links.

edit: ok the asf streams and works great! but it when i click on the link it plays on my local windows media player and i can easily save the file onto my desktop. is there a way to prevent this please? or at least to make it much harder to steal?

Unless you are going to setup something like Terminal Services (Remote Desktop), A Citrix Gateway or similar and play the video on the server, there HAS to be something downloaded to the client.

With streaming technologies it is only a buffer sized "chunk" that is on the client playing while the next "chunk" is being buffered.
