I attached a graphic. I was wondering how this graphic was made. So that i can construct others similar to it.

I most often use adobe photoshop. Any help would be much appreciated.

I have tried going into adobe.. and then making a white box. then trying to use drop shadow.. but i cannot get the same shadow that this one appears to get.

Any ideas? Thanks so much!

It's a box with a faint gradient and a border. It's more of a glow than a drop shadow though if applying a layerstyle in Photoshop.

Either they used a plugin or an inner bevel on the white background edges, definitely done in layers. I have/had a plugin filter that will do edges similar, I can't find it right now. However I have used an inner bevel to to reach a glow edge, choosing different colors to fit the graphic scene, gives a nice effect. The last part is adding a frame with a drop shadow.

The filter's name is Andrew's Filter 21 and you would select Unreal Glow. Unfortunately I looked for the tutorial online to go with this graphic, the author has taken her tutorials off line.

I spent some time last night working with this tutorial of the attachment I submitted which I was fortunate enough to copy the instructions, like I said it's no longer online.

The tutorial was done using Corel's Paintshop Pro, you are using Photoshop, I am pretty sure you have a glow tool. To make the glow inside the frame, the frame has to be attached and you use the cutout tool twice with different settings. As far as Andrew's Filter 21 that was used for inside the graphic, so you wouldn't need to use the filter if you just want the glow around the edges of the graphic.

If its not in the drop shadow probably its the outer glow. it really got a strong shadow.

Photoshop, simple as using layer effects:

1. Drop Shadow - 90 degrees, 5px offset, 10px size, 20% spread, 100% opacity
2. Stroke - #FFFFFF, 8px size, inner stroke
3. Inner Shadow - 0 distance, 80px size, play with settings
4. May also need to add an Inner Glow - 20p,x #000000, Multiply blend mode
