I am interested in possibly creating a special effects video. What kind of software does everyone recommend?

Thanks

Chris, Director is the first time I heard that suggestion so far. Can you tell me- is there a huge learning curve to it though?

I have heard of these things that you can buy called jump backs but haven't used them yet.

For once... I'm going to disagree with "The Guv'nr"

If you need to do special effects, it has to be Adobe After Effects...

Thanks Mike and Darren, thats the main resource I have been recommended elsewhere. Would you say there is a huge learning curve to these? Which one simpler and which is best to include things like Jumpbacks in?

What the hell is this?
