The simple and bright logo is easy to understand the theme, but many people also like complex combination.
how about you?

You mean logo's like citroen?
I defiantly agree with you!
Most inexperienced logo designers , who are new to logo designing always think its about feeling in the space with fancy flashing lights and weird colors.
But again, it all depends on the person who is designing the logo, I am actually a great fun of all the car logos!
most of them are quite complicated but simple to the eye!.

I'm all for simplicity. Some of the nicest logos are incredibly simple. And they don't try and convey too many messages.
I've had some bizarre requests over the years, like "can you design a logo for my company, that is to represent what it does, and also include my love of spelunking too."
People want their logos to do way too much for them. A logo should be simple, effective, communicate a simple message and represent the company's quality.

Simple logo's that are 1-3 colors, 2D, & can transition well in solid black & white are ideal for any serious brand identity. As this allows the Brand to be versatile enough that it can be applied to any marketing / public relations materials and still retain it's aesthetics in the overall theme.
Typically, more complex, multi-color, & highly detailed logo's are used in addition to the simple brand identity for extension products, services, event's, etc... Some will even go for a 3D version of their brand later for media materials.
To each their own of course... but if you look at huge corporations in it for the long term like: Nike, IBM, Coke, Pepsi, Playstation, Joomla! (Opensource software), Microsoft, Walmart, Etc... you'll notice the simplicity I refer to.

for me, it depends on the person.
Some, appreciate more and complicated colors and for them its better than simple ones. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as what they say.

I think the most important thing is simplicity combined with being unique. In this day and age that is a VERY complex things to do since many things have already been done.
The brain doesn't like complex things while just scanning through the grocery or shopping center. But, it must be unique enough to leave an impact.

Yes i agree with you.... Simply put, a logo is a name, symbol, or trademark of a company or organization. Logos can be made up of text that is configured in a unique way. Your logo can be an illustration with your company's name on or around the illustration. Or your logo can be a symbol. A logo may also be a combination of these, but its goal is always to project the company's intended image.

logo should be simple enough to accept easily by all of people , even old people or children.
for example, Nike 's logo, mercedes benz's logo.
meanwhile, i also think logo also should be creative, innovative, unique, and can represent their own style.

i do not care about whether the logo is simple or complicated, i only want to it can reflect the site's style, or product characteristic.
if one logo, people have a glance at it ,and can remember it at once or can understand its sense, i think it is a sucessful logo.
simple and complicated, both have its advantages.

Keep your logo simple, have know complicated symbols or imagery as this will lose integrity when reduce in size. You need a logo that will be scaleable in any size and for any medium.
3/ Color
A good logo will retain impact and power in black and white. A logo should have know more than one to two colours (white is not considered a colour in a logo), if your printing out your logo and has lots of colours it will be very costly to print. Something to think about!!

maybe it is my favorite aspect of logo design.

The perfect logo should have 4 qualities
1. Unique
2. Simple
3. Meaningful
4. Memorable

I think that simple logos are great. Take for example, http://flavors.me/. If I saw that at any time or place in the world I'd automatically think flavors.me. No tacky gradients, no text but it still manages to illustrate a fine feature of their service: diversity.
A good logo is easy to remember, easy on the eyes and transferable. Complex logos can do this too: but it's not that common.
(I do love a good mascot too)

The thing is logos like Citroen, Nike, Adidas, Microsoft etc, spend a lot of money IN marking and PR so their logos are easily recognisable.
However for most business a could of strikes, slashes, ticks etc will not identify the brand at all, so the logo needs to reflect the business a little, when the company becomes a multinational firm then it can rebrand to a new logo which is just stylised intials of the company name or something, for the interim it needs to be visually descriptive of what the business does.
