Hello, I am trying to get into graphic design more to make designs for my website.. currently I only have the plugins that come with the program and a basic understanding of how to use it.

I used to have a older version of photoshop that had a cool alienskin plugin or something like that where I could get text and make it all chrome, or make it look like its on fire, or wood, ect..

Can someone please let me know what you think the best plugins are to make designs easy but nice and clean looking? thanks!

My friend uses Photoshop a lot and was talking about CS 5. He said that Nik Software has a series of editing tools that have been tested and are claiming that they will run on CS5. And Topaz Software has other artsy, denoise & sharpening types of filters - but currently it will run in 32-bit mode on CS5 only. And they are in the process of rewriting their plug-ins so that it could run in full 64-bit mode also.
