Firs tof all .. this should have been placed in the Website Review and Suggestions thread ... but anyways ... the templates don't look cheap but the aren't really what i would call a professional website either. They are very very basic templates.
Take a look at some of my templates at http://www.instantsitemaker.info for examples. you are able to view small gifs of about 75 of the 10,000 templates.
Well sorry for posting in the wrong place. But anyway I tried here for a more professional look. here it is, I know I probably isn't that good so let me know what I should work on.
Your website layouts are good in my opinion. They are simple, which is very important. The last one you posted is the best, which suggests you are aware of the way forward.
Not bad, but try to make the buttons smaller and maybe play more with effects. The layouts are simple, maybe too simple. Try also to put some text (in photoshop too) so that you can really see what you are doing. It should look more like this. It's a template I sell and it's been made in Photoshop the way you see it. It's not the full sized image, for some reasons.
