Hello!

I have come across a font used on a few site that I would love to obtain. An example of it is on this site (http://www.punchstock.com) and it is the font used for the small top navigation (HOME, HELP, CONTACT, REGISTER, etc).

These buttons are graphics, but the font has the characteristics of html type in that there is no anti-aliasing; it's just as crisp as can be because its rendered pixel by pixel. I think it's very readable, even at this small size, and looks cool to boot. Even better, it won't change size with the whims of the browser, platform or user.

If anyone out there knows what this font is called, where I can find it, or if it's created through some clever trick, I'd be forever in your debt if you shared.

Thanks,
Dave

I think it might actually be Arial. I assume its just been rendered well by a graphics program. I think messing about with some of the anti-alias tools etc. should provide similar results.

And you could also check out a few font sites, like www.fontfreak.com, which is one of my faves. It has Mac and PC fonts.

That font is called Silkscreen. It should be really easy to find if you do a simple search on Yahoo.

Also, it is being used at a 6 point font size on that layout (this is the size it is most commonly used at). I hope I was of help to you!
