I have to agree with all the positive comments in this thread to date.

One feature not mentioned is the ability to pre-define up to 10 directories for sorting a batch of photos. Then you open up the one you want to sort and as each image is displayed you are two clicks from moving or coping it to another directory

I have experienced none of the ill effects mentioned above.

I do use other products for serious image editing.

Hi Colbyt
Interested in your comments about Infranview and that it has means of sorting batches of photos.
I want to sort folders of photos in a certain order and then copy them to CD/DVD - but normally they revert to an alphabetical or date order rather than my own pre selected order. Guess I could manually number them 1 up - but have hundreds - can Infranview assist me in this problem.
Would appreciate your comments. Have tried it but can't find a way so if there is, can you be a little specific in method and directions for me. Thanks greatly.

I don't think the program has the ability to sort images in that manner. What I meant by sort is that a person could define up to 10 directories and manually dump the image to one of those 10 with one or two keystokes or clicks.

You can control the display sequence in the slideshow option. But, it to is a manual arrangement made by you.

Keeping them in a certain order when copied is most likely going to require alpha, numeric or date manipulation.

It's an excellent little program. I've been using it for several years now and for a freebie you can't beat it. I use it primarily as a viewer for graphics and quick 'preview' on sound files. If you d/l the additional plugins it'll handle just about any file format.
