I am VERY new to Flash so I hope I am not over-reaching. I want to learn how to creat a movie with an object that rotates 360 degrees.

There is a template that has exactly what I would like. mouseOver the links.
http://www.templatemonster.com/websi...ates/5043.html

- I would like to use a real object. (pictures of a wedding ring)

Does anyone know of a tutorial that would help??

I think he's trying to get an object to rotate about an axis, rather than just rotating the entire (flat) image.

This type of animation is made in another program than flash. This is 3D animation and it's made using 3D animation software and then exported as image sequence or as a movie (avi, mov, mpg) and then imported in Flash.

You could try using swift 3d, it can export your 3d movies in .swf format as well as all the others, although not the best 3d modelling programme, it'll probably be best for you.

thanks for the advice. I did findthis website that has an applet that will be a bit different than what I wanted but will still be a neat thing to use.

I was about to ask the same question.
Except I'm looking for something much simpler.

I'm sure somewhere on the web, theres a website that offers turnign an image (probably .gif with transparent properties) 360 degrees.

Not like you would in flash where it distorts it - but where it rotates it correctly.
Are attachments on? Yes they are. OK I will attach what the logo looks like so you can understand what the heck I'm saying.

Does anyone know of one?
I think I remember seeing it on those "create a logo" sites where they make the text for you... but I don't remember.
Ring a bell?

thanks.

Still searching for an answer, I found this site:
http://www.deneba.com/community/howt...o/default.html

But it uses "canvas" which is completely new to me.
Anyone familiar with it?

If you are looking for that type of 3d graphics, you can check Ulead COOL 3D Production Studio and Xara 3D.

Swift is another great program for importing and exporting 3D elements in Flash.

Atomic 55
