Simple Fireworks Graphic?

I'm trying to create a ribbon which starts out horizontally across the page and then moves along the left and curves into a half heart shape. This graphic will be gradient filled. Any ideas how to accomplish this? Thanks for your help.

Hi Geekgirl,

if this is what you're looking for, then this is the png.

I would imagine that it would be easier to create a vector-based image, which will allow you to manually shift each node to perfect the ribbon shape.

I'll give it a go in an hour or so.

er... that was a vector. You can download the png to manipulate as you wish.

Thank you for the graphic, however, not quite what I'm looking for. The ribbon would go along the top of the heart shape and it wouldn't be a complete heart shape, just half. The half would only be the outline of the heart. This attachment is what I'm talking about. I would like to know how to do this. Thanks again for all your help.

Well this is a vector of the image you supplied, so it shouldn't be too hard to amend it how you like:

Thank you, again, for your help. But I would really like to know "HOW" to create it in Fireworks. Is that possible? Can you direct me to a tutorial or something that may teach me how? Thank you.

Ah, got you finally!

Pen tool. Click, click click to join the dots with a straight line. Click and drag to draw a curved line. I imported your bitmap and traced around it with the pen tool.

Here's a tutorial with more detail.
