Hello, I have two guestions, probably Flash related. I have very, very little knowledge of Flash:

1) For my employer's website (home construction business) I would like to add a site-map of a neighborhood which shows the location of each home lot. Some of these homes/lots are already sold, and some are not. I already have the site-map as an image file. On the website, I would like to have the sold homes/lots a different color than the ones not yet sold. I would also like to be able to hover over any of the lost and get a little pop-up that has a brief description of the home/lot. Would Flash be the tool to use to create this? Is this fairly easy to learn? Can I use a different tool, such as javascript?

2) For the same website, and a bit farther out in the future, I would like to have a floorplan of a home, and a selection of furniture that a visitor can click upon and drag onto the floorplan. I have the floorplans as image files already. Again, Flash? Hard to create? Any other tools?

I would try an image map. Any area of the image can be hyperlinked to wherever you like. Additonally the text you put in the ALT tag of the link wll popup for the surfer. ACEHTML makes good imsage maps without severe learning curves.

Thanks DaBlacDragon, I'll look into imagemaps (I currently know nothing about "them"). I think I may have mis-identified the image in my original post. Instead of site-map, I should have indicated site-plan. Basically, a map of the neighborhood that shows each home and lot. Sorry if I confused anyone.

Flash would certainly be a good tool for this kind of job. Things like this are possible in javascript but flash would make it a lot easier. Something as complex as a drag and drop furniture layout would require quite a bit of work regardless of how it was put together.
