So I personally have been waiting for this since I first discovered flash and it is finally here. Flash 8 finally added alpha gradient masks, meaning no more masks that either show or don't show what's behind. We can make trasparency gradients for our masking shapes.

Now, much like photoshop's masks we can feather images and get rid of sharp edges and all that other great stuff we love.

Hope everyone loves this new feature as much as I do.
