A place to start is www.swishzone.com. Download the text effect swish lite program to see if flash is for you. If your interested then you could move on to the full version from v2.0 - 2.4. Macromedia Dreamweaver MX <- to ->Free Hand is difficult for beginners and all 6 software programs that come with it take a while to learn the basics. (I am still learning).
I have used swish for 2 years. I use it now to touch up boring areas on .jpgs or .gifs. I have made 35-45 sites with it and 15 were for actual businesses.
I have a new area on my website comming out soon that I have been working on called 'Partner Program'. It allows certain people to show their work if they don't have the amount GB bandwidth a month. 2/3 of the websites on the Internet including homepages,blogs,underground are on free hosts.
I'll have my new selection of templates out soon because I just uploaded a new site in postnuke because I also got bored with java script and html. I hope this has helped you and others who may be reading this.
