I use CorelDRAW and Photopaint for most things graphical. I would choose DRAW over illustrator any day, but i use photopaint only cos I am now more used to it, photoshop seems the more powerful of the two but I don't want to re-learn.
I've never had any stability issues with Corel version 2, 5 or 9 which are the ones i've used over the years.

I love coreldraw too. Never had any problems with it. I like live trace, but creating meshes and transparent gradients require many steps compared to just a click in coreldraw...

Not you fault! Me too i has the same issues but after uninstall it and reinstall it works fine! To prevent to loose your work if anything goes wrong you can go to menu tools/options and in the save tab you can set autobackups after xx minutes. Btw whats version do you use?

I use both photoshop and corel draw a few years so allow me to tell that 2 softwares cant compared because photoshop used for photo retouching and corel used for linear and vector graphics. In my opinion the use of this 2 you can make excellent graphics.(just my opinion i dont try to be smart or offensive)

P.S.
Help me to corect my grammar!
