How is the effect created in fireworks on the image I have attatched?The original image has a white background.
Can anyone point me to a tutorial to enable effects like this?

It is done in photoshop. Layer -Style - Outer Glow

Select the white background with the magic wand (with a feathered edge of about 80 depending on your image) then delete it. Make sure your background is black.

u can do that with fireworks too add outer glow shadow
