I have a flash template that I want to use for my website, but I do not know how to change the text/names of buttons, text, etc.

Can somebody help me get started?

Is there anything I need to post up to show what I mean?

Ok, I figured it out
Now here's my real question :sorry:

I setup the front page and all the flash stuff.

I have empty flash files for the other pages (like contact us) etc
Can I use HTML to put/type what I want in those other pages , again like the "contact us" page.

Any help would be really great. Thanks guys

oh ok. ur template comes with a text file. u can edit the title, links, & contents (text) on ur template even if its flash.
u dont need to open the .fla for flash if u dont want to. u can do it there right.

company_name=YOUR COMPANY&slogan=very nice company slogan&our_company=our company&information=your info&button_link_1=button 1&url1=http://www.drawbobo.com&button_link_2=button

Simply replace your company/title with "Your Company", add your own slogan where it
says "very nice company slogan", and continue on to replace the rest of the
variables with the text and links that you desire. and after that save & overwrite your changes everytime u edit.

Once done, simply upload the html, swf, gif, jpg, and txt files to the same web folder, and
your new flash website will be ready to use!

See that's what I'm confused about.

The zip files that the template comes in has the following:

psd folder
html folder
jpeg folder
fonts folder
and the flash folder

and all the html files in the html folder are .swf format and of course can't be edited via notepad or something.

Click inside the html folder, inside there should be 2 folders the blank version & filled version click which ever of the 2 - & inside it there should be a text file (notepad) included. sometimes it has a zibrish name like ff84uk.text

The html folder consists of:

about, chef, contacts, home, index, and recipes = all those are flash files
there is only index.html in there and it doesn't have anything that I can see to change really.

hmmm... its a text file aside from html. are u sure that's all it inside the folder? hmmm....

Yes sir, but then again it was a free template. Not sure if that has anythign to do with it

nah it always comes with it. bad thing tho- some people offers free stuff but totally make's a fool out of u like e.g. its gives u all this, but except the text code! its anoying! its not ur fault though... ehehheh! if u like i will hook u up with some templates for free. (with text)

Did you get the Flash source file when you purchased it?

You can also store text within the flash file itself but you would not be able to change it if you do not have the .FLA source file.
