Hi all,

I am having this problem with a banner that i found. I wish to replace the existing image on the banner with my new image. However, i do not have the psd file but only the gif file. Not sure of what software i can use to do this.

A software that is free and easy to use as a preferable recommendation. And after i manage to replace the existing image, how do i make sure that the new image can blend into the banner?

So many questions and have no clue how to do it. Hope someone can help me out here, thanks.

Hi!

If I understand , the banner is pretty good, but You want to remove a part of it and put Your image.

I think that Photoshop is capable of doing this

Show that banner and let's see how to solve your problem.

great gringo!

You don't waste your time.

For shaoen01:
Why don't You try some of techniques "SCAN LINE" in Photoshop. If You do not know how, just google and search scan line+photoshop. After that You don't have to remove piece of image, but You can create Your own effects like this one that gringo solved succesfully.

sorry for my English

In Google, you might also try to look for "TV Lines". That's the repeated line pattern.

The first time I did this effect, I actually individually added all the lines (on a 5 x 7 postcard)!

The pattern works well
