GIF animation help in Fireworks

Hi, when changing the frame delay of my animation from 7/100 sec to 3/100 sec for all frames, the preview works just fine and the animation runs very fast. However, when the gif is exported the animations runs as if the frame delay were still at around 7/100 secs. Can anyone help me with this? I used the search function but no luck.

Thank you.

Here you go. This file will open in Fireworks for editing. It is an animation I made of a character walking to the right. The idea is to use the same file for a running animation by lowering the frame delay, which doesn't want to work. Thanks for the help.

I managed to reduce the frame delay to 3/100 sec no problem - I put the exported gif here : http://demonwebdesign.co.uk/manrightwalk.gif
I have no idea why you couldn't do it!

By the way, that character looks really cool!

Gringo, I viewed the exported animation that you made. It runs as if the frame delay were still 7/100 secs. I can set the frame delay to 3/100 also and export it, but it doesn't run as if the frame delay were 3/100. If you are in Fireworks and set the frame delay to 3/100, preview the animation and watch how it runs, then export it, and it runs as if you never changed the frame delay, even though when I preview it before exporting it looks like I want. I appreciate all your help so far. Let me ask you though, when you view the exported file does it run fast? For me the character just walks as usual, as if the frame delay were still 7/100.

I can easily distinguish between the 3/100 sec and the 7/100 sec version, so I'm wondering whether it's a pc thing? When I look at the version I posted in the link, it does look fast, but when you look at it it looks slow - same image but different pc.

Have you tried exporting with a ludicrously fast 1/100 sec?

The thing is, I thought it might be my PC that just can't distinguish between 3/100 and 7/100 secs, but why does 3/100 secs work for me when I preview it within Fireworks, but not when I export it? Even if maybe my PC couldn't handle exporting the 3/100 properly, your PC obviously can, but when I view your exported file, it is as if the frame delay is still 7/100. Very strange, and I don't know what to do about it. Thanks for all your help in this matter.

By the way, yes I have exported at 1/100 secs, even 0/100 secs. In the preview within Fireworks when you hit the little play button, the animation runs insanely fast, as it should. When exported with those frame delays though, the file runs as if the frame delay is at 7/100 still.

Here is an update for you, I have both your 3/100 file loaded to a webhost and my 7/100 file, I have sent the link now to two people on my buddy list and they both say the two files run exactly the same...that is, they are both walking.
