Has anyone tried Swish Max or FX Software? I am thinking of purchasing Swish Max, but not sure yet, any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have used Swish Max, and, I must say, shelling out the price for Macromedia Flash is very much worth it, but both programs have their ups and downs.

In Macromedia, you can do anything for an animation, but some of the more complicated stuff can take a while to learn. Although, you can creat stuff like webcomics (Have you ever checked out http://www.homestarrunner.com ?) like the ones in that link. YOu can also do simple tweens, like moving from one spot to another.

In Swish, you can't do tweens, but it is a lot easier to do advanced text effects, and the only way to attempt to tween here is by putting the object to, say, the left, and then having it fly in from the right, but that's as close as you can get.

Thank you for your response SmokingTequila, the url link was a fun site, sure enjoyed that! And your explanation really helped me out. I am not a big fan of flash, due to download time, but a little flash here and there could add some spice to web pages.

Thanks Again & Best Wishes,
Giselle

Pleased to meet you, andrews_john!

Perhaps Flash might be the better program but for what I am going to use it for, I think SwishMax might work. I am not a big fan of Flash for welcome/front pages, some of them are so long, I might add boring too, that I am one of those that click the stop button and go to another website. Businesswise that isn't cool, you just lost your potential client/customer/visitor.

But I have seen what some people are doing with their web pages, a touch of flash here and there can make the web pages outstanding with just a simple little flash, that's why I was considering Swish Max.

Thank you for your input, very much appreciated!

Best Wishes,
Giselle

No unfortunately I am not using Photo Impact or Photoshop, I am using Psp 7 & 8 along with some other software that I have purchased, gravityfx. Each one of these programs seem to have a certain something that the other doesn't have. But they all are sure fun!

Am glad to hear you are pleased with the performance of Swish Max. Thank you for your input, very much appreciated!

Best Wishes,
Giselle

I shall tell you how it's better for me, andrews_john, the pocketbook won't be so lightened up. , lol! From what I understand Macromedia is the tops for software. Have you tried PSP 8 yet?

Best Wishes,
Giselle
