Hi All,

I've been looking for a nice free flash mp3 player that i can easily customize for a recording studios web site.

I just spent 2 hours trying to make the xspf music player from sourceforge work on my domain. No dice. Failure.



So does anyone have any other pre-made and easy to customize flash mp3 player suggestions?

I only need the player to do the following.

1. load an mp3
2. play/stop mp3
3. track listing for song currenly playing
4. next track/previous track options (with track name updated on track selection)

I might also go for a start stop button flash player. I would need it to index multiple mp3s on one page and keep the web users from having two or more mp3s playing at the same time. (ie. each button needs to be action scripted to stop all sounds then start its repective mp3 song)

I know you asked for free...but without having to mess with the creation of the flash file myself, I found MP3 Sound Stream the best option available for extremely quick and easy mp3 to flash conversion (plus it saves disk space).

BUT, I don't know if it'll be able to handle the multiple song selection. I got it a while back when I was working on some recordings, but haven't used it in over a year, and can't remember much (have since reformatted and lost it).

Also, there's radio.blog. It's free. It can do playlists...but it accesses the mp3 files directly, and outputs in flash...so, the file sizes are larger (I needed to save as much space as possible, which is why I never used this).

Wow. I did not know that this was possible with flash!

Turns out that i finally got the xspf mp3 player working. One site misquoted the format of the playlist file as "nameofplaylist.xspf" when really the name of the playlist should be "nameofplaylist.xml"

Its a nice player so far. I'm working on skinning the default theme to make it match the color scheme for my client.
