The answer is simple: learn Flash .

For beginner I recomend You SwishMAX. It is good for understanding basic principles of flash animation.

Or use flash decompiler and try to understand how stuff works.

But with simple fade in and fade out, with zoom effect and slide effect from one side to another, it is easy to do simple good looking animation. Find on google tutorials about flash and start.

Just learn and you'll be better and better .

i found when learning flash(as with many other things), that the easiest way was to look at what someone else has done, and work out how they did it, a great place to download .fla movies that would be perfect for this is flashkit.com

DRP, I am agree completely with You. Download some .FLA files and try to change some parameters and see how stuff works.

That's the reason more for using flash decompiler in investigation and decompiling SWF into FLA.
