Hi I got a logo designed for my website but unfortunately the designer used corel draw rather than photoshop. I have no idea of how to use corel draw and need to work with the layers to create print quality logos and for the web. Is there any way to convert or transfer the file from cdr to psd including layers and everything rather than as an image?
Unless you have a version of Photoshop that can import the logo in CDR format (7 can't but CS2 might be able to), not directly.
See if the designer can export it to TIFF. If they do it right, TIFF can be layered and then opened up in Photoshop. Mind you, Corel Draw totally sucks so I don't even know if that's possible (what a horrible program.)
The designer is not ready to do any extra work without extra pay so i am trying to get hold of corel draw, i will try it out and post the results tomorrow. Thedesigner claims that corel draw is the most widely used and accepted graphics software in the world.
Sweet! I wanna meet that guy! I'll bet after talking to him, I'll learn that the Yankees are a small-market ballclub, most men read Playboy for the articles, and Al Bundy isn't white trash.
Hi I just installed corel draw and opened the file, this might sound like a stupid question but where are the layers in corel draw and what format should i export the image in or save as as there isnt any conventional file type that i recognise like jpeg or tiff? i cannot see the eps format either
threaten to not use him again. With enough pressure, I find that most people will give you easy things like different formats for free. Especially if you have alreaddy paid them an arm and a leg for it.
hope that helps.
